Chapter one of the working poor talked about how a lot of people are not aware of W5's. It is very hard for poor people to climb up the ladder to reach the middle class, they are pretty much stuck. A lot of people had to pay someone to do their taxes for them because they were afraid that they would mess up and have to pay even more. They gave many examples of people who are poor and about their lives and the hardships that they have to go through.
